The Southern River Precinct 2 Outline Development Plan is bound by Lakey Street, Southern River Road, Ranford Road and Holmes Street, Southern River. 

What is the main aim of the ODP?

The purpose of the Southern River Precinct 2 Outline Development Plan is to guide future subdivision and development in that area. The ODP is divided into Phase 1 & Phase 2 for the purpose of establishing a developer contribution arrangement. 

Since the initial adoption of the ODP, a number of revisions have been adopted - the most recent being approved by the WAPC on 7January 2020.

What has happened?

A range of planning initiatives have been undertaken for Southern River Precinct 2, including:

  • The amendment documentation and ODP were advertised from 21 January 2004 to 3 March 2004 for public comment, and referred to relevant government agencies. Letters were sent to all landowners within the Precinct 2 and to those with properties in the immediate vicinity.
  • Council adoption of the Southern River Precinct 2 ODP
  • State Government approval of the Southern River Precinct 2 ODP
  • Adoption of various revisions to the original ODP
  • State Government approval of Amendment No. 88 to the City of Gosnells Town Planning Scheme No.6 on 13 July 2010
  • Council adoption of the Developer Contribution plan Report - 22 November 2016.
