Records about the City of Gosnells dating back to the 1800s are available for research at the Local History Collection, located at the Knowledge Centre. The contents of this collection are primarily associated with the area now covered by the Gosnells municipality, and the people who have lived here. The material is sorted into topic files and by person. Much of this special research collection is also freely available from the comfort of your own home via the City’s library catalogue.

Please help us to expand the collections by allowing us to copy and make available locally relevant material that you are prepared to share. Staff like to hear from people who are able to provide further details or highlight an inaccuracy. Public contributions are always welcome and your donation may be tax deductible.

The Heritage Coordinator and the Local History Librarian are available to answer enquiries on 9391 6011, or by completing the online request form in the Related Links section below.
