The City is one of the very few municipalities in Western Australia that is indexing the contents of its rates books, which date from 1928 onwards.
Searches that would once have entailed hours of work perusing large and cumbersome volumes are now carried out in just a few minutes. Â The indexing project is still a work in progress but is sufficiently advanced to be useful for most enquiries.
Searches are carried out by Heritage Services staff on request. Please contact the Community History Officer on 9391 6010 or complete the online enquiry form in the Related Links section below.
