Home Security - Keep It Secure

The City of Gosnells is working with Gosnells District Neighbourhood Watch and the WA Police Force to reduce crime in our city.

Whether you are going away on holiday or just want to increase your home security, there are a few simple steps you can take to keep your home secure.

Visit the WA Police Force website for information on How to Reduce Your Risk and other safety measures. The website offers printable PDF's over a wide range of safety topics including how to keep your property Safe and Secure, a Holiday Security Checklist and Home Burglary - Burglary Alert. This information is invaluable to keeping your house secure while you are away from your property when either on holiday or just for the day.

To further assist residents with home security and safety awareness, the City has produced a Home Burglary Prevention video. The Home Burglary Prevention video is a comprehensive crime prevention resource focusing on internal and external security measures in an easy to follow format. The video was funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services and in partnership with Neighbourhood Watch. View the Burglary Prevention video below.

To assist local residents with improving the security of their property, the City is offering a home security incentive package for vulnerable victims of home burglary identified by the WA Police Force. Conditions apply.

Further to this, the City is also offering residents who register, one free security lock guard for security screens. Terms and conditions apply.
