This district reserve is home to the Perth Heat Baseball team and is divided into two Sporting Complex's by Wilfred Road allowing access from Nicholson Road to Cameron Street.

Two large ovals accommodate baseball, softball, AFL and gaelic football connected to 5.9 hectares containing the Tom Bateman Reserve Bushland and Wetlands.

With the successful completion of the 145-bay car park works located near Perth Heat's Baseball Park and the completed construction of a new playground located at the northern end of the reserve.

The playground is securely fenced and provides a range of play equipment for children of all abilities. The new play space was designed to replace the old play space that made way for the new car park. Additional to new equipment, the play space includes bench seating, shade sails over the equipment as well as an abundance of trees to be planted, to provide additional shade.
