Heritage volunteering

The City encourages members of the community to volunteer their time to local history and heritage related works, even if it’s only a couple of hours per week. It’s a great way to find out more about your local area, meet new people, and be involved with your local community.

Museum education presenter

Engage the kids of today with activities of the past at the City's Museum.

Oral history project volunteers

These positions ares responsible for conducting audio interviews and/or converting them into kits which are made available to the public in the City’s Oral History Collection.

Restoration shed

On the grounds of the Wilkinson Homestead Museum is a facility used for restoration of the Museum's historic agricultural equipment. Volunteers with relevant skills and experience are welcome.

Thornlie Living History Group

A dedicated group of volunteers involved in researching and collecting the history of the Thornlie suburb and its people.
