Late payment interest will be charged at 10% p.a on any outstanding rates balance. Late payment interest will not be charged on current and deferred rates of eligible pensioners and seniors with 100% equity.    

Ratepayers who have elected to pay by the Four Instalment Option as shown on their Rates Notice are exempt from late payment interest providing that all instalment payments are made by the due dates.

Four instalment dates:

  • Friday 6 September 2024
  • Friday 15 November 2024
  • Friday 17 January 2025
  • Friday 21 March 2025

Do I pay GST on my rates notice?

GST is not payable on general rates or the emergency services levy.
