The City provides library services to enhance the community's well-being socially, economically, intellectually and creatively, and to keep them informed and in touch with the world they live in.

The four public libraries located in Gosnells, Thornlie, Kenwick and Southern River provide access to:

  • a wide range of collections
  • electronic and physical resources
  • inclusive services
  • interesting and entertaining programs and activities
  • special resources, services, and activities for children and teens.

All libraries are accessible by wheel chair or gopher and there are other options for members who may experience difficulties in visiting a library due to health reasons.

The majority of library services require you to be a member but the good news is that it’s free to join!

If you would like to receive information about library events and services, by email, you can sign up for the e-newsletter or follow us on Facebook.

The libraries have now increased the number of physical items to 20 so you can borrow more of what you love.
