History Boxes are available to schools for loan and contain a variety of historical artifacts which can be used to demonstrate the differences between how things were done in the past compared to the present.
There are two boxes called ‘A day in the life of Emma Wilkinson’ which contain a selection of domestic items such as sad irons, butter pats and rolling pins. A third box is called ‘Learn and play’ which contains items used at school such as dip (ink) pen and ink, slate boards and marbles.
The History Boxes are heavy duty, wheeled cases which are easy to transport.
History Boxes can be borrowed for two weeks at a time. Extensions are possible and will depend on availability. Extensions must be arranged prior to the return date.
There is no charge to borrow the History Boxes, but if damaged or lost, costs will be incurred as per the City of Gosnells fees and charges schedule.
