Budding and professional artists are invited to showcase their creative talents, as entries are now being called for this year’s City of Gosnells Community Art Exhibition and Awards.

Entries open on Wednesday 16 March, giving artists from local suburbs and those from further afield a chance to share in a total prize pool of $9,500.

City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes said all entries would feature in an exhibition to be held from Saturday 21 to Sunday 29 May.

“The quality and variety of works we receive is remarkable and is a great reflection of a healthy and vibrant arts community,” the Mayor said.

“The City of Gosnells has long valued the arts and is again looking forward to acquiring a new piece for its collection. The Overall Prize is acquisitive and will earn the artist $5,000.”

There are $500 prizes offered to the remaining nine categories, which include the Primewest People’s Choice Award. This award is chosen by visitors to the exhibition voting for their favourite piece.
