2026 Community Art Exhibition and Awards – Treasure Hunt - Prize Terms and Conditions
1. This competition is a promotion run by the City of Gosnells (“City”).
2. The competition is open to participants aged 18 years and over.
3. This competition is only open to participants who attended the 2026 Community Art Exhibition and Awards.
Food and Culture Festival and complete the attendee survey.
4. Participants must complete and submit the Treasure Hunt survey via the City’s website, Facebook or Instagram accounts, or in person at the information kiosk.
5. All entries must include the name, email address or mobile phone number for the entrant. Incomplete entries will be ineligible for the prize.
6. In providing an email address, entrants agree to be added to the City’s community
mailing list.
7. The following are ineligible to enter: employees of the City of Gosnells, immediate
family members of employees of the City of Gosnells, Elected Members of the City of
Gosnells and the businesses, agencies and companies associated or involved with the competition.
8. The total prize is valued at $50 in the form of 1 x $50 Gift voucher.
9. Prize winners will be chosen at random at 3pm on Thursday 28 May, at the
Gosnells Civic Centre, 2120 Albany Highway, Gosnells. All entries will be transferred to an Excel spreadsheet, and a Google Random Number Generator will be used to choose a number which is then matched with the relevant number in the
spreadsheet.
10. The City will notify the winners by phone and / or email as soon as possible after the prize is drawn.
11. The City will not be liable to any entrant who cannot be contacted within 48 hours of the prize draw. In such cases, this entrant forfeits any Prize, and no further
correspondence will be entered into.
12. The prizes are not transferable, redeemable or exchangeable for cash.
13. The City will not be liable for any delivery or travel costs associated with claiming or using the Prize.
14. The decision by the City regarding the awarding of the prizes is final and no debate will be entered into.
15. By entering this Competition, entrants acknowledge that if they are a winner, photographs may be taken at the Prize collection for marketing and media purposes. Any such photographs taken, and copyright in the images, will belong to the City, and the City has the right to use these images without payment or other compensation to the Prize winner.
16. Participation in the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
17. This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Facebook.

Paper entry forms can be collected from the City of Gosnells Civic Centre reception or downloaded online. Please submit your completed form and payment at the City's Civic Centre reception.

The maximum number of artwork entries per artist is as follows:
All artworks must be original works created by the artist and must have been completed within the last 12 months from the entries' closing date.
Yes, you can enter an artwork that has been exhibited before in another art exhibition. Please note, all artworks must have been created within the last 12 months from the entries' closing date to be accepted.
If the artwork has won an award in another exhibition, you can still enter it. Please note, all artworks must have been created within the last 12 months from the entries' closing date to be accepted.
All artworks must not exceed 1.2m x 1.2m (including frame) besides multi-panels 2.4m x 1.2m.
2D artworks must not weigh more than 10kg, and 3D artworks must not weigh more than 20kg.
Multi panel works will be classed as one (1) entry with a combined size of W2.4m x H1.2m.
Start by exploring different pricing strategies online to find a formula that works for you. Once you've chosen one, calculate your price, and remember to add a 20% commission and GST (only if you're registered for GST) to cover all costs.
Payment for sold artwork will begin after the Community Art Exhibition closes. A member of the Art team will contact you to start the payment process.
Once the payment request is submitted, it may take 4-6 weeks for the funds to reach your designated bank account.
All entries are automatically entered into this category regardless of medium and the winning work will then become part of the City of Gosnells collection.

The exhibition will be held at the Lyal Richardson Hall, The Agonis.
Please choose one medium category that best describes your work plus any focused category (eg, Local, Youth, City and Aboriginal awards).
The awards will be announced on Friday, May 15, 2026, except the People's Choice Award which will be announced 2-4 weeks after the exhibition ends.
