The Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA has further extended the Prohibited Burning Period for the City of Gosnells until midnight on Sunday 28 April.
The City will not issue burning permits until at least this date and all burning of rubbish, refuse and other material remains prohibited.
Residents are encouraged to help prevent bushfires by:
• Keeping grass to 10cm or less
• Pruning shrubs to ensure a 2m gap around buildings and other structures
• Keeping gutters clear of leaves
• Maintaining fire breaks
