Only three light industrial lots remain for sale in the Southern River Business Park, representing a great success for the City of Gosnells.

The 21ha subdivision features mixed business and light industrial lots ranging from 1,211 sqm to 6,456 sqm and is the largest commercial project the City has undertaken.

City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes said demand for the subdivision had far exceeded expectations.

“To release a commercial business park on this scale is unusual for a local government but, after decades of planning, we are very pleased that it has come to fruition and that the project has done so well,” she said.

“The City is now moving ahead with the development of the site and we hope to have shovels in the ground within a few months.”

Net profits from the subdivision will directly benefit the community, by funding local infrastructure and facilities.

“The benefits of the Southern River Business Park are significant – providing much-needed industrial land for local businesses, employment opportunities for local residents and social benefits from the community projects that will be funded by the development,” Mayor Lynes said.

Cygnet West selling agent Angette King said prospective purchasers should move quickly to secure one of the last remaining lots.

“The estate has been selling fast since the lots were released in February 2023,” she said.

“The first 15 lots zoned ‘Mixed Business’ were under offer within the first two weeks. The three remaining lots are zoned ‘Light Industrial’ and, given the current demand for Industrial land in the Perth metro, we believe these will be under offer in the next month.”

Of the 51 lots released to market, the three remaining range in size from 2,121 sqm to 6,456 sqm.

Southern River Business Park will also feature three large areas of public open space, which will act as a buffer for a large neighbouring wetland.
