The City of Gosnells is reminding residents to think carefully about home and vehicle security this festive season.

Through the Safe City initiative, the City of Gosnells is working with local Police and the Gosnells District Neighbourhood Watch to improve community safety and reduce crime.

Mayor Terresa Lynes said it was a busy time of year for most people, but ensuring homes and vehicles were secure would help community members to enjoy a stress-free Christmas.

“Whether you are visiting friends and family this Christmas or spending the festive season in your backyard, there are some simple steps you can take to improve your home security,” she said.

“Christmas is also a great time of year to get to know your neighbours, because a well-connected community is one of the best ways to improve community safety and reduce crime.”
