The City of Gosnells is supporting local community groups, sporting clubs and other non-profit organisations to achieve their goals, with a series of workshops sharing plenty of know-how.

Mayor Terresa Lynes said the first Growing Together in Gosnells workshop will take place from 5.30pm to 8pm on Wednesday 30 August, focusing on grant writing.

“Community groups, sporting clubs and other non-profit organisations are often the glue that sticks our community together, so it’s important to support them with the knowledge and skills they need to help keep their group or club running smoothly,” she said.

“Grant writing is a skill that can make a world of difference to a community group’s finances and programs, allowing groups to reach more people, develop their programs or embark on new projects. Make sure your club is competitive when applying for grants by taking advantage of this Growing Together in Gosnells workshop.”

More workshops will take place in 2024, including social media promotion and volunteering.
