The City of Gosnells supported the WA Police Force to conduct a multi-agency training simulation this week, to keep the community safer in the case of emergencies.

The City provided the Civic Centre Function Room as a venue to host Exercise GRANITE, in which Armadale District Police, St John Ambulance WA and shopping centre managers and security took part in a simulation based on a hostile act at a major shopping centre, with a particular focus on designated command roles.

Mayor Terresa Lynes said making City facilities available for Police use was another positive way to support community safety.

“The City has a strong track record working with local Police on a range of community safety initiatives through the Safe City program, including CCTV and Number Plate Recognition cameras, Your Neighbourhood events and more,” she said.

“We recognise community safety is important to City of Gosnells residents.”
