Celebrate Seniors Week in the City of Gosnells with a one-stop showcase of local programs and activities for people aged 55 and over, at the ActivAGE Expo on Friday 17 November.

From 9.30am to 12.30pm at Mills Park in Beckenham, community members can enjoy stage entertainment and live demonstrations, trishaw tours, free health checks, a wellness zone, information stalls for seniors support services and local community groups, food trucks and more.

City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes said Seniors Week acknowledges the role of seniors in the community, promotes positive ageing and encourages participation in community life.

“There are many local activities and services available in the City of Gosnells for residents aged 55 and over to enjoy, whatever your personal interests,” she said.

“The ActivAGE Expo is a perfect opportunity to see what is on offer, make connections and try something new.

“ActivAGE isn’t only for those aged 55 and over – bring along the grandchildren for an intergenerational park play.”

The first 150 attendees aged 55 or over, who can show proof of age, will receive a food truck voucher to use on the day.

Have-a-go demonstrations at the expo will include Drums Alive, Tai Chi, Relax and Meditate, Chair Yoga, Pickleball, Ultimate Frisbee, Pole Walking, Table Tennis and more.
