The City of Gosnells is looking for community members with a passion for ghost stories and history to volunteer for the 2021 Ghost Walk season.

For more than 20 years, the City has presented these interactive guided walks along a 5.5 kilometre trail.

Ghost Walk participants encounter story-telling ghosts and learn the rich history of the Mason and Bird Timber Mill Company and the many characters that walked the same track almost 150 years ago.

Dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers have helped keep the show on track with ghostly performances and as leader assistants.

As the walk includes hills, steps and uneven surfaces, volunteers require a moderate level of fitness, and must be prepared to put on a great show.

Performers will be required to dress up, do their own makeup and deliver monologues to a series of walking groups, while leader assistants must be able to walk the trail carrying a backpack of supplies.

This summer, the show will run across three Friday nights –29 January, 26 February and 26 March.

If you think you have what it takes, email cogarts@gosnells.wa.gov.au or call 9397 3000.

Tickets for community members to take part in the Ghost Walks will be available from 6 December.
