A sell-out crowd of 15,000 rocked Gosnells Oval last Saturday 22 February, at the City of Gosnells free Illuminate Night Party, headlined by The Temper Trap.

Kicking off the line-up was WA artist Brayden Sibbald, followed by local identities The Southern River Band, who got the crowd into the rock spirit with their energetic and catchy songs.

Special guests and Perth live music stalwarts Gyroscope upped the tempo with their lively stage presence and impressive guitar riffs.

Popular indie-rock band and multi-ARIA winners The Temper Trap then delighted the crowd with a stellar set, including their much-loved rock anthems Fader and Love Lost, saving Sweet Disposition for their encore, as a surprise confetti cannon burst streamers into the audience.

Mayor David Goode said there was something for everyone to enjoy at Illuminate, with carnival rides, a glitter bar, youth chill out zone, food trucks, roving performers and a photo booth.

“Thank you to everyone who came along and made the Illuminate Night Party the terrific night that it was,” he added.

“It was truly an amazing show of community spirit, not to mention a great night of free, live music and entertainment.”

Illuminate Night Party was presented by Healthway promoting the LiveLighter message, and sponsored by Lotterywest.

There are plenty more exciting events coming up in the City of Gosnells, as part of the Spring into Summer event series.
