Profile - Emma Zhang

Emma Zhang has been living in the City of Gosnells since 2012 and brings her extensive professional background and decision-making skills to the local council. Emma's focus is on improving the City's efficiency, as well as ensuring the City supports entrepreneurs and small businesses. Currently Emma is working towards ways to increase local business participation for local government tenders.

With extensive knowledge and experience in supply chain/contract management and a master's degree in business and economics, Emma has worked in a wide range of industries including medical equipment, construction, mining, and fast-moving consumer goods. Currently Emma has completed a contract law course and is working in WA Health as a Contracts Manager.

Emma's other passions include increasing cultural awareness and multicultural integration in Gosnells, one of the most multicultural cities in Perth. She is also passionate about women's empowerment and has and founded the Gosnells Chinese Association as well as the Women's empowerment group 'Stand up for HER'.
