City of Gosnells community members will gather on Thursday 25 April for the Gosnells RSL Anzac Day March and Dawn Service to pay respect to past and present servicemen and women.

The March will start from the Gosnells Coles car park at 6.40am and proceed along Albany Highway to the Gosnells War Memorial in the Civic Centre Gardens, where the Dawn Service will commence at 7am, followed by a Gunfire Breakfast.

City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes said the City was always proud to support the Gosnells RSL in presenting the Anzac Day March and Dawn Service.

“Once again this Anzac Day we will join the Gosnells RSL to remember those who have served our country in the past or are currently serving in our Australian Defence Forces – we owe them a great debt of gratitude,” she said.

“This year, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs has identified local veterans’ stories as the focus for Anzac Day commemorations across Australia.

“With this in mind, I would like to pay tribute to the many men and women from our community who have served at home and overseas – including those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and given their life in service to our country.”

Members of the public can purchase a Gunfire Breakfast for a gold coin donation.

The southbound lane of Albany Highway will be closed between Fremantle Road and Gosnells Road West from 6.40am to 7am on Thursday 25 April, for the March.
