Ghost Walks

Ghostly encounters

Locals say that our hills are home to the spirits of Mason and Bird’s timber mill workers, who built a thriving community in Orange Grove in the 1860s.

Find out for yourself when you experience the City of Gosnells popular annual Ghost Walks.

Come along and enjoy a fully guided 5.5km moon lit walk along a well-marked bush track from the historic Victoria Dam to the Bickley Reservoir in the Orange Grove Hills. Along the way, you will explore the history of the Mason and Bird Timber Mill Company and the bustling community that thrived in the area over 150 years ago.

Meet the friendly ghost performers who will tell you colourful tales of the many characters that lived and worked in the district at the time. Beware of the convicts you may encounter lingering near the railway bridge that still stands today, for which they provided much of the hard labour during its construction. Experience the local environment in a new way with this exciting family entertainment as you enjoy the magnificent bush scenery and views of the Perth City lights.
