The majority of library services require you to become a member but the good news is that it’s free to join!

Full membership

To become a full member with access to the physical and digital collections, library computers, services, programs and events, complete an application form (online, or visit a library) and present identification documents with a minimum total value of 70 points. At least one of your identification documents must include your current address. Your acceptance agreeing to the conditions of membership is required to become a member.

If you are under 18 years of age your application must be signed by your parent or legal guardian. Their signature means they agree to the conditions of membership as your parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian must show identification documents with a minimum total value of 70 points and one of the documents must include your current address.

You do not have to be a resident of the City of Gosnells to become a member. Membership is free, although applicants living at a temporary address may have borrowing restrictions applied.

All full members receive a library card which you will need to use in order to access library resources. You are responsible for all items borrowed on your card regardless of who uses it, so keep your card safe and advise us immediately if it is lost or stolen. You can use the lost library card notification form to do this, or simply phone or email the library.

Your library membership must be renewed every two years. This is a quick process that involves a staff member confirming with you that your details are correct.

Libr-E-card digital membership

If you’re into using ebooks, digital collections, and other online resources, or you are a regular guest-pass user of library computers, you may prefer to sign up for Libr-E-card digital membership. This membership is free, but cannot be used to borrow items from the libraries’ physical collections. Complete the application form online, or when visiting a library. Your acceptance agreeing to the conditions of membership is required to become a member. If you are under 15 your application must be completed online by your parent or legal guardian.

You can upgrade to a full membership at any time by presenting identification documents.
