Artist / Performer - Expression of Interest
If you are a performer or artist looking to get involved in a range of fun and exciting summer events then we would love to hear from you.
Each year we present a range of community events aimed at showcasing a variety of local and regional talent. With elements such as main stage performances, roving performances, intimate musical performances, art workshops and much more we are always on the look out for talented performers and artists to bring our events to life.
Australia Day Big Breakfast - January
This popular community event will be held within the Gosnells town centre at Centennial Pioneer Park on 26 January to commemorate Australia Day. The event will include an awards ceremony, music, stage performances, children’s activities and entertainment. A key focus of this event is utilising local talent for stage performances.
The City works closely with various community groups with the facilitation of this event, namely: Rotary Club of Gosnells & Muslim Community Charity who utilise the event as their major annual fundraiser.
This free family event grows each year, with more people opting to celebrate the day in their community, in a family friendly atmosphere.
Illuminate Night Party - February
The Illuminate Night Party will be a community celebration that showcases everything that makes Gosnells a great place to live. Gosnells Oval is lined with food stalls, activities, displays from local community organisations and internal business units as well as roving performers and mini stages. This afternoon/evening event will bring Gosnells Oval to life with colour and music. Families will be encouraged to join in the fun with free entertainment in a safe environment. This event aims to become a showcase of the elements of Gosnells that resonate with residents and help to bring these to the wider community.
The Illuminate Night Party will culminate in a unique concert by a high profile act on the main stage being the perfect finish to the biggest party Gosnells has ever seen.
Little Scribblers Arts Festival - March
With a large proportion of children under the age of 12 residing within the city the Little Scribblers art festival is a unique opportunity to attract a number of children within the city and provide them with an exciting and engaging event that helps explore and nurture their creative side.
Set in Thornlie this event will source artists to run workshops contributing to the creation of both public art pieces and pieces for participants to take home. This event will also encourage local performance and dance groups to promote their services and classes and provide entertainment on the day. Small stages will be set up throughout the event with exciting street artists and performers making this event a feast for the senses.
Each year a new theme will be introduced for the festival that is strongly linked with strategic outcomes of the City such as environment, community safety, recycling etc.
