Community members who take advantage of the free shuttle bus to get to and from the Fusion Food and Culture Festival will be in the running to win an exclusive dinner at home catered by celebrity Chef Brendan Pang.

With parking extremely limited at Mills Park, festival-goers are encouraged to use the free shuttle bus, which provides transport direct to Fusion from Maddington Central shopping centre car park and Beckenham Train Station.

As an added incentive, every shuttle bus passenger will receive a ticket into a draw to win an exclusive dinner for up to 10 people in their own home, valued up to $2,000, catered by celebrity chef Brendan Pang. Spot prizes will also be awarded to lucky passengers.

City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes said Fusion promised to be a fun-filled night for the whole community, but the crowds would make parking difficult.

“The Fusion Food and Culture Festival has always been popular in our community, and this year the City has made it bigger, bolder and better than ever before, so visitors should plan ahead and take advantage of the free shuttle bus service, or try walking or cycling instead of driving,” she said.

“The City is very excited to present the unique opportunity for shuttle bus passengers to win a once-in-a-lifetime dinner at home catered by the popular Brendan Pang, who is best known as a Masterchef contestant and owner of Bumplings.

“Just imagine your closest friends or family members enjoying a delicious five-course meal in your own home, with a celebrity chef doing all the cooking. It’s a fantastic prize.”

Mayor Lynes also asked festival-goers to be mindful of nearby residents when entering and leaving Fusion, and avoid blocking driveways and footpaths.

Fusion Festival is sponsored by Lotterywest and the shuttle bus service is supported by Maddington Central shopping centre.
