Young Change Makers

Are you a young leader? Are you passionate about your community? Want to volunteer at events and help plan local youth projects?

The Young Change Makers ("YCM") are the Youth Advisory Council for the City of Gosnells. They assist in representing the issues and views of young people, as well as plan various activities for local young people and their community to encourage participation, inclusion and a positive representation of youth. 

 

Program Information

This is a free program and registration is required after speaking with the program facilitators. Eligible participants to attend this program must be aged between 12 to 25 years old.

Days and Times

Young Change Makers take part in monthly meetings and workshops during the school term on the first Thursday of every month from 4pm to 5pm.

For Term 2, YCM meetings will be occurring on the following dates:

• Thursday, 2 May (4pm - 5pm)
• Thursday, 6 June (4pm - 5pm)

Additional Information

COVID-19 safety protocols

• Hand sanitiser will be available at each session.
• Please do not attend the program if you or your child are unwell.
• To ensure the health and wellbeing of families and staff, limits may apply to the number of participants allowed in a building.

Public Holidays

Please note classes will not be held on public holidays. Term 2 public holidays, that may impact this class, are as follows:

• ANZAC Day: Thursday, 25th April 2024
• Western Australia Day: Monday, 3rd June 2024

Facilitators schedule these much-loved programs in advance. In the event of unexpected circumstances, such as inclement weather or illness, scheduled programs may be subject to alteration or postponement at short notice.
