Public open space (POS) includes your local parks, sporting fields, and conservation areas and is vital in shaping liveable suburbs and healthy communities.

POS creates a sense of well-being and provides positive lifestyle and recreation opportunities, as well as a place to meet, relax or take part in sporting activities.

The City of Gosnells has developed a Strategy to prioritise the development of POS and ensure it is well managed.

The Public Open Space Strategy guides the City's decisions about the location and quality of parks throughout the City.

Under the Strategy, all City parks have been reviewed and recommendations have been made for how they will be used in the future.

The Strategy considers the improvement or acquisition of land for parks and the disposal or partial disposal of land that is considered to be surplus or not suitable for public recreation.
