The City's work continues in the Maddington Kenwick Strategic Employment Area (MKSEA).
A Black Cockatoo Foraging Habitat Study has been done. The study was necessary due to this issue being a likely significant factor in the future assessment of an application for the rezoning of the MKSEA land from Rural to Industrial.Â
The outcomes of the study are as expected.
The study concludes that there will be a need to maintain certain tree species when the future detailed design of the area occurs. Previous vegetation survey work indicates that this should be readily achievable at the appropriate planning and design stage for the land.
