Do you fancy spending a few hours on a Sunday with our friendly visitors chatting about days gone by, in a beautiful 1910s homestead, surrounded by expansive lawn and trees?

If so, consider volunteering at the City’s Wilkinson Homestead Museum.

Mayor David Goode said this hidden gem on Homestead Road was keen to welcome new volunteers to help guide tours on Sundays.

“Volunteering is a terrific way to be involved in your community, meet new people and to share knowledge, particularly for those with a passion for local history,” he said.

“Training will be provided and there is great support from the City’s staff and other volunteers.”
