Homestead Park

This neighbourhood park is located next to the Homestead Park Centre (formerly known as Thornlie Community Centre). A playground covered with shade sails and barbecues facilities are provided for small gatherings as well as picnic tables, a gazebo and a large open grassed area suitable for children's play, informal ball games or other recreational pursuit.

The reserve is shaded by native trees and is easily accessible by pathways that traverse the length of the reserve. It has undergone significant revegetation to increase biodiversity, widen the foreshore wildlife corridor, stabilise river banks, improve water quality in the river and reduce the number of weeds species present. These works have been coordinated by the City and the Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group, with a lot of hard work by many community volunteers.
