Our natural heritage

The City's natural environmental assets set it apart from most other Perth metropolitan local governments. From the Darling Scarp to the Swan Coastal Plain, the City of Gosnells' 127 square kilometres encompass forests, woodlands, heathlands, wetlands, rivers and streams.

The key natural features of the City include:

Guided by its Biodiversity Conservation Management Plan 2010, the City manages a number of key natural areas for their biodiversity and amenity value.

Give our Bushland a Boost

Dig in to make a difference to the local environment, at Give Our Bushland a Boost, from 9am to 12pm on Sunday 21 June.

Community members are invited to help the City and Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group members plant 5,000 native seedlings in the riverpark at the Richard Rushton Community Centre, Baron Way, in Gosnells.

National Tree Day

Community members are invited to make a ‘tree-mendous’ difference to the local environment, by taking part in a National Tree Day planting event in the City of Gosnells.

The event will take place from 9am to 12pm on Sunday 26 July, at Hester Park, off Spencer Road in Langford. Please enter via the Hester Park access road.
