Fusion festival - Frequently Asked Questions

Fusion Food and Culture Festival will be held on Friday 26 February and Saturday 27 February 2027 from 5pm - 9pm.

If you are accessing the event by car, we recommend setting your destination to 237 Bickley Road, Beckenham where you will find parking options.

You can drive, walk, cycle or use public transport. There will be limited parking near Mills Park, but there will be free shuttle buses running to and from Maddington Central shopping centre  every 15 minutes (where there will be plenty of free parking) as well as a free shuttle bus from Beckenham Train Station.

Fusion Food and Culture Festival will feature a vast array of cultural and family friendly activities, including carnival rides, a global village with interactive arts and craft stalls, live multicultural entertainment over two stages as well as roving performers and youth zone (12-18 yrs), inbetweeners zone (8-12yrs) and children’s zone (0-8 yrs).

Over 40 food vendors will be present at Fusion Food and Culture Festival, offering cuisine from around the globe. Many will offer dishes to suit specific dietary requirements.

Food trucks at the festival will be using the Go2Cup reusable serving-ware system. This means you will be given your food in a reusable plate, bowl or cup.  Once you have finished with your meal, just take the plate bowl or cup back to the Go2Cup tent to be cleaned ready for reuse.

Please note that this is an alcohol-free event and BYO is not permitted. Bring your drink bottle to take advantage of the free drinking water will be available at the hydration stations.

There will be a series of waste stations staffed by the wonderful team from Go2Cup where you will dispose of any rubbish you have. There will be rubbish, recycling, organic (compost) and Containers for Change options. Please ask the staff at the station if you’re unsure of how your waste should be sorted.

Entry to the Fusion Food and Culture Festival is free and there will be a wide range of free activities for families to enjoy. The City is subsidising discounted carnival ride tickets, which can be purchased at a special subsidised Fusion Food and Culture Festival price of $10 for three tokens.

The event will still go ahead if it’s raining unless there are severe weather warnings that will compromise the safety of the event. Check our website or Facebook page for any updates regarding cancellation. And check the weather before you head to the event to make sure you’re dressed appropriately. If it’s raining, pack a poncho or raincoat!

Pets are not permitted a Fusion Food and Culture Festival unless they are assistance animals.

Yes, facilities include universally accessible parking, toilets and an Auslan interpreter on the main Fusion Stage.

Please be mindful that this is an outdoor event on grassed areas so there may be uneven surfaces. There are ACROD parking bays at Mills Park Centre for ACROD cardholders. There are ACROD parking bays at Mills Park Centre for ACROD cardholders.

The Fusion Food and Culture Festival will have a Multi-Faith Worship Space for anyone who wishes to pray or meditate.

Both smoking and vaping are not permitted at the event, you will need to leave the event area to smoke or vape.

Licensed security and crowd control will be present at the event to help keep you safe. We ask that all attendees follow the directions of security and crowd control.

Constable Care will also be joining us again at Fusion Food and Culture Festival. Stop by either of their marquees or ask a member of staff for a child’s identification sticker. If you become separated from your child, please alert a member of staff in the area. Found children will be taken to the Constable Care marquees.

CCTV surveillance will be in place throughout the event site.

There will be live music performed between 5pm and 9pm. All volume levels will comply with local government regulations and will be monitored to ensure compliance.

All lost property will be stored at the onsite information kiosk during the event. Unclaimed lost property will be taken to the City of Gosnells Civic Centre building at 2120 Albany Highway, Gosnells, and held for seven days.

Keep an eye out for the Containers for Change bins. Be sure to return any bottles and containers displaying the 10c label and help us reduce landfill waste. All proceeds will be donated to Liddlelow Scout Group.

St John Ambulance trained first aiders will be onsite for the duration of the event. Please report any medical emergencies to a member of staff.

Items prohibited at the event include:

• Alcohol and illicit substances of any kind;
• Glass bottles, glassware or breakable containers;
• Drones or any other remote-controlled devices;
• Animals (excluding service animals);
• Barbecues or shade structures;
• Weapons of any kind, including any item that can be used as a projectile;
• Knives or scissors;
• Fireworks, sparklers or flares;
• Laser pointers;
• Cameras and recording devices for commercial use (unless prior approval provided by Council)
• Other items deemed by security, police or event coordinators as having potential to cause injury or public nuisance
