The City of Gosnells is committed to creating events that are inclusive, accessible and equally enjoyable for the entire community.

Our team aims to ensure all our guests feel respected, welcomed, and comfortable when visiting major events within the City of Gosnells.

Social Story

Fusion Food and Culture Festival has its own social story.  Social Stories aid people with autism, learning and/or intellectual disability prepare for a visit to the Festival.

Our social story provides details relating to the event and what to expect as a visitor.


Access

This event is free to attend, no ticket is required.

There are solid pathways surrounding Mills Park Oval.  There are no gates or doorways to pass through to access the event site

Please be mindful that this is an outdoor event on grassed areas so there may be uneven surfaces.


Transport

Parking

There are ACROD parking bays at Mills Park Centre carpark for ACROD cardholders, at the intersection of Brixton Street and Sydenham Street.  If these are taken, there is also a drop off zone in the same carpark.  

Shuttle buses

There are shuttle buses from Beckenham Train Station and Maddington Central.

Beckenham Train Station loop: 

  • Buses are wheelchair friendly
  • Collection from Beckenham Train Station will require crossing the road at an intersection with pedestrian crossing button.

Maddington Central Loop:

  • Friday – 2 x buses will be wheelchair friendly
  • Saturday – all buses are wheelchair friendly

Restrooms

Existing accessible toilets can be found at the Mills Park Centre and additional, accessible portable toilets will be installed on the event site.

All portable toilets are gender neutral.


Auslan Interpreting

The main Fusion stage will have Auslan interpreters for speeches and verbal performances.


Multi-Faith Worship Space

This year we have created a Multi-Faith Worship Space in the Mills Park Centre. It is a non-denominational worship space available for prayer, meditation and reflection.

  • You will find a marquee split into a female and male prayer space
  • Open from 5pm – 9pm each day
  • A multi-purpose space, with the provision of loose seating.
