Skate Jam – Mills Park Plaza

Skate Jams are a great opportunity for young people to head down to the local skate park and hang out with Youth Workers in a free supervised session. 

 

Program Information

This is a drop-in style program; thus, no registration is required to attend and is open for all ages to attend.

Participants can BYO their own equipment or can utilise skateboards and helmets provided by Youth Workers on shift. Additional sports equipment, as well as chairs, music and snacks are also provided. 

 

Skate Jam Days and Times

Skate Jams are held at various City of Gosnells Skate Parks. 

School Holidays

For the April school holidays, Skate Jams will be occurring on the following dates: 

Gosnells Skate Park - 2.30pm to 5.30pm

Monday - 8th April

Maddington Skate Park - 3pm to 5pm

Tuesday - 2nd and 9th April
Friday - 5th and 12th April

Thornlie Skate Park - 3pm to 5pm

Monday - 8th April
Wednesday - 3rd and 10th April

Mills Park Skate Plaza - 6pm to 8pm

Wednesday - 3rd and 10th April
 

Term 2

During the school term, Skate Jams occur on the following dates: 

Gosnells Skate Park:

Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays: 2.30pm – 5.30pm

Mills Park Skate Plaza:

Wednesdays: 6pm – 8pm
Saturday, 16 March: 10am – 2pm

Maddington Skate Park:

Tuesdays and Fridays: 3pm – 5pm

Thornlie Skate Park:

Mondays and Wednesdays: 3pm – 5pm

Additional Information

COVID-19 safety protocols

• Hand sanitiser will be available at each session.
• Please do not attend the program if you or your child are unwell.
• To ensure the health and wellbeing of families and staff, limits may apply to the number of participants allowed in a building.

Public Holidays

Please note classes will not be held on public holidays. Term 2 public holidays, that may impact this class, are as follows:

• ANZAC Day: Thursday, 25th April 2024
• Western Australia Day: Monday, 3rd June 2024
