At Sunset Cinemas, you can expect much more than just a movie. In addition to family favourite films, these popular events will feature children’s activities, sausage sizzle and ice cream. It's a guaranteed great night out with your friends and family!
You can bring your own rugs, bean bags, low lying chairs and cushions to get comfy and enjoy the films on offer. What a great way to spend a Friday evening!
Pre-screening entertainment begins from 5.30pm. Movies will start approximately 10 minutes after sunset.

How much does it cost?
The Sunset Cinemas series is free for everyone to enjoy.
What food will be available?
A FREE sausage sizzle (for the first 400 people) will be provided by the Lions Club of Gosnells. Sausages have been kindly donated by Chucks Tender Meats
Ice cream, popcorn and soft drink will be available to purchase.
What happens if it’s raining?
The event will still go ahead if it’s raining unless there are severe weather warnings that will compromise the safety of the event.
Check our website or Facebook page for any updates regarding cancellation. And check the weather before you head to the event to ensure you’re dressed appropriately. If it’s raining, pack a poncho or raincoat!
Can I bring my pet?
Pets are permitted as long as they remain on a lead for the duration.
What time does it start?
The activities for kids will begin at 5.30pm, however, the movie will not start until 10 minute after sunset to ensure it is dark enough to screen.
This means the movie will begin screening closer to 7pm at the start of the month and closer to 7.15pm towards the end of the month. Note, these timings are estimates only.
Is smoking permitted at the event?
Both smoking and vaping are not permitted at the event, you will need to leave the event area to smoke or vape.
What items are prohibited?
Items prohibited at the event include:
- Alcohol and illicit substances of any kind;
- Glass bottles, glassware or breakable containers;
- Drones or any other remote-controlled devices;
- Barbecues or shade structures;
- Weapons of any kind, including any item that can be used as a projectile;
- Knives or scissors;
- Fireworks, sparklers or flares;
- Laser pointers;
- Cameras and recording devices for commercial use (unless prior approve by Council)
- Other items deemed by security, police or event coordinators as having potential to cause injury or public nuisance.
Lost property
All lost property will be stored at the onsite information kiosk during the event. Unclaimed lost property will be taken to the City of Gosnells Civic Centre building at 2120 Albany Highway, Gosnells, and held for seven days.
