At the Shops

At the Shops activities are fun, one-hour sessions where families can connect and participate in a range of engaging activities designed to bring smiles, laughter, and learning opportunities to young children.

All At the Shops sessions deliver themed activities that aims to include:

🫟 Crafty Creative Creations: letting your child's artistic talents shine as they create masterpieces to take home. Our craft activities are designed to inspire creativity and boost self-confidence.

📚 Storytime Magic: immersing your child in the enchanting world of storytelling. Our storytellers captivate young hearts with tales that transport them to far-off lands and inspire a lifelong love for reading.

🤖 STEM: stimulating your child's cognitive development through activities that encourage exploration, critical thinking and problem-solving in an entertaining and educated way.

✂️ School Readiness: helping your child be school ready with themed activities that encourage exploration, critical thinking and problem-solving in an entertaining and educated way.

The City of Gosnells Library Services and Youth and Families teams proudly collaborate to deliver the following sessions in a relaxed and welcoming community setting as part of the At the Shops program:

Play and Learn (for children aged 3 - 5 years)

Play and Learn encourages early learning through play. Children can enjoy fun and engaging hands-on activities such as learning to use scissors, drawing and creative art, along with stories and songs that build confidence, fine motor skills, and a love of learning.

Story Time (for children aged 0 - 5 years)

Through stories and creativity, Story Time aims to spark literacy, imagination, and connection.

⌚ session time:	*9:30am - 10:30am*

Holiday Play (for children aged 0 - 10 years)

All types of play are opportunities for learning and growth, and the holidays are no exception. Holiday Fun allows parents to play alongside their children in a fun, safe space filled with engaging and development-friendly toys and equipment.

While City of Gosnells staff make every effort to support community safety, At the Shops sessions are not supervised. As such, parental supervision is compulsory and parents are to remain at the premises with their child/ren for the entirety of the session.

At the Shops programs are held throughout the year except public holidays as listed on the Government of Western Australia's website. As a drop-in style program, no bookings are required to attend.
