Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund
This funding is currently on hold while it is under review by the State Government.
The Community Sport and Recreation Facility Fund (CSRFF) is managed by the Department of Cultural Industries, Tourism and Sport to provide funding to community groups and local governments to develop infrastructure for sport and recreation.
The aim is to increase participation by helping develop new or upgraded facilities and sporting infrastructure that will maintain or increase physical activity, or result in a more rational use of facilities.
Priority will be given to projects that lead to facility sharing and rationalisation, new playing surfaces, floodlighting, change rooms and storage.
The CSRFF contribution is dependant on the scale of the project. See the CSRFF guidelines.
There are two levels of funding based on the project value.
1. Small/Club Night Lights Program
Project Value: $7,500 - $500,000
Maximum CSRFF Contribution: $2,500 - $200,000 (33.3% to 50% capped at $200,000)
Contact the City to discuss the project: 15 to 31 December, 1 to 15 May
Applications lodged with the City of Gosnells: 1 February, 1 July
2. Forward Planning
Project Value: Over $500,001
Maximum CSRFF Contribution: $166,167 - $2,500,000 (33.3% capped at $2,500,000)
Contact the City to discuss the project: 1 to 15 May
Applications lodged with the City of Gosnells: 1 August
The CSRFF application must include approval from the City of Gosnells. Contact the City as early as possible to establish the level of support for the project and to seek advice in preparing the application. This is particularly important if you are seeking a financial contribution from the City as well as the CSRFF for the project.
For Forward Planning Grants, depending on the complexity of the project, allow up to a year for submission preparation.
Refer to the City of Gosnells Project Initiation Form for guidance on preparing a comprehensive application.
Note: This grant only deals with "built" projects. Also refer to the Community Funding Program. Contact the City to discuss your project and apply for the most relevant grant.
