For most residents, the standard two-bin service (one rubbish bin and one recycling bin) meets the needs of most households in the City of Gosnells.
However, we understand that some circumstances require additional waste or recycling capacity.
You may be eligible to apply for an additional bin if you have:
- A large family household that genuinely exceeds the capacity of the standard service
- A medical condition that generates additional waste (a supporting letter from your doctor or medical practitioner is required)
Before you apply, please read the following terms and conditions:
- Applications are assessed against the City's eligibility criteria and are approved only where substantiated reasons exist.
- An annual fee applies for each additional bin. Please refer to the current fees and charges schedule for applicable rates.
- Only property owners or managing agents may apply — tenants are not eligible to apply for this service.
- If approved, the annual service fee will be added to your rates notice each year and is subject to review and change annually.
- There is no charge for replacing a missing or damaged bin. Fees apply only to additional bins or services.
By submitting an application, the property owner or managing agent agrees to the applicable fee as set out in the fees and charges schedule, and acknowledges that, if approved, these charges will appear on their annual rates notice and may be reviewed each year.
