Ready to step into the spotlight? Underground Sounds is Western Australia's longest-running youth music competition, giving young musicians the chance to perform live, connect with other artists, and compete for a share of the $5,000 prize pool.
Now in its 39th year, Underground Sounds has helped generations of local musicians gain confidence, grow their skills, and share their music with a live audience.
Whether you're a solo artist, band, DJ, producer, or hip hop performer, this year is your chance to turn up the volume and show everyone what you've got.

Who Can Enter Underground Sounds?
| Underground Sounds is open to young people aged 10 to 25 years who are: |
- solo artists
- part of a musical band
|
|
|
| Underground Sounds entrants must live, work, or study in one of the following areas: |
- City of Gosnells
- City of Armadale
- City of Canning
|
|
- Town of Victoria Park
- Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale
|

How It Works - The Road to the Finals
1. Submit your entry
Complete the online application and provide:

- a video of your act performing
- a photo of your act
|

- a short bio
- your social media or website links
|
2. Get Judged
A panel of industry professionals will review all entries based on:

- presentation
- professionalism
|
3. Prepare for the Big Day
Selected acts will have the opportunity to participate in workshops designed to help you get performance-ready.

4. Take the Stage
Finalists will perform live at:
