Underground Sounds is more than just a rock music competition and isn't limited to bands. Open to all genres and musical styles, from rap and hip hop to folk, indie, electronic, country and metal, the competition celebrates and supports emerging young local musicians.
Each year, some of the City's most talented young acts take to the stage to compete for the coveted Underground Sounds title and fantastic prizes. In 2027, the competition is proudly supported by the Cities of Armadale and Canning, the Town of Victoria Park, and the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale, attracting an incredible calibre of talent from across the region.
Come along and enjoy an unforgettable night of live music while supporting local youth artists as they battle it out for the top spot and win epic prizes. Underground Sounds Finals is a drug and alcohol-free event.
2027 Finals
This year's Underground Sounds Final will take place on Saturday, 30 January 2027 at The Underground Youth Centre. Watch talented young musicians compete for the coveted title and prize money while enjoying five hours of live entertainment. Entry tickets include food and drinks, making it a great night out in support of local youth music.

Finalists will be announced by end of November / early December 2026.

Important event information before securing your tickets
🎸 Finalists will be showcasing their talent on a live stage. Elements such as loud music, dim lighting, smoke/haze machines and the use of flash or strobe effects are all integral parts of creating the dynamic and immersive atmosphere of live performances. Patrons will be responsible for taking the appropriate precautions to manage their conditions if they are affected by these elements.
NOTE: earplugs will be available during the event.

🎸 Underground Sounds Final is an all-ages friendly event. To maintain a safe and enjoyable event for everyone, this event is both drug and alcohol-free.
