Need help with modern technology?

Library staff are able to provide basic assistance should you have questions about using library computers or our online resources, but if you need a bit more information, libraries run training sessions for individuals and groups on a variety of topics throughout the year, aimed at assisting people to learn more about computers, software, tablets, ebook readers, mobile phones, and other technology-related topics. Session details are shown further down this page.

Online tutorials

For members who want to learn online in their own time, library membership provides free access to LearnFree with hundreds of training sessions. The free tutorials include full colour, easy-to-follow screenshots with step-by-step instructions covering an extensive and varied range of entry-level "How do I...?" learning topics. They cover computer basics, email and the Internet, social media, and a range of software products. They even include tutorials for smart-phone users.

You don't need a library membership to access this site although you may wish to sign up for an account with LearnFree in order to save your progress.
