TICKETS ON SALE MONDAY 23 FEBRUARY

Fred Smith and band deliver a powerful musical journey through Australia's wartime history, beginning with the iconic works of Lawson, Bogle, Walker and Schumann and culminating in Fred’s own firsthand song-stories from the valleys of Afghanistan's Uruzgan Province.

Far from glorifying war, this performance offers a raw and deeply personal reflection on the triumphs and tragedies faced by Australian soldiers in overseas conflicts. Framed by a stunning collection of projected photos and some cheeky Australian humour, the songs are set in historical context, honouring the sacrifices while suggesting some timely questions about the costs and benefits of “alliance wars”.
