Four local parks will be transformed into outdoor cinemas this November as Sunset Cinemas return to the City of Gosnells.

The series kicks off at Auckland Park in Canning Vale on Friday 6 November with a screening of The Magic Faraway Tree. Activities begin at 5.30pm, with the movie starting at sunset.

The fun continues at Jean Garvey Park in Gosnells on Friday 13 November with Paddington in Peru, followed by Dora and the Lost City at Cadoux Parade in Canning Vale on Friday 20 November. The final Sunset Cinemas event for 2026 will be held at Carabeen Park in Maddington on Friday 27 November, featuring the Christmas classic Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes said Sunset Cinemas were always popular community events that brought neighbours together and encouraged residents to explore their local parks.

“Sunset Cinemas are a great way to catch up with friends and neighbours and enjoy a relaxed evening of entertainment for the whole family,” she said.

“Best of all, Sunset Cinemas are free, and no tickets are required. The first 400 attendees at each event can also enjoy a free sausage sizzle cooked by the Lions Club.”

Moviegoers are encouraged to bring low chairs, picnic rugs, bean bags or cushions to get comfortable while enjoying the film.

City of Gosnells Sunset Cinemas is proudly supported by Lotterywest and Chucks Tender Meats.
