Art Studio

Art Studio at The Castle is a welcoming and inspiring space where imagination knows no bounds and artistic expression thrives. Designed to nurture creativity and build confidence, Art Studio provides young people with opportunities to explore a variety of art forms and mediums in a supportive environment.

Guided by experienced facilitators, participants can develop new skills and techniques while working on exciting projects such as sculpture, drawing, painting, mixed media, urban art, animation, and much more. Whether you're an experienced artist or just beginning your creative journey, Art Studio encourages experimentation, self-expression, and learning through art. More than just an art program, Art Studio offers a safe and inclusive space where young people can explore their ideas, thoughts, and emotions, connect with like-minded peers, and be themselves. Our goal is to foster a creative community where young artists feel supported, inspired, and empowered to grow both artistically and personally.

Art Studio term programs and workshops are open to residents and school attendees within the City of Gosnells. Age eligibility varies depending on the event and is determined by facilitators, so please refer to the relevant event listing for specific age requirements. The Art Studio term program runs over eight weeks on Wednesday afternoons during the school term, with themed workshops also offered throughout the school holidays.

Registering into Art Studio

The City of Gosnells Youth and Families use TryBooking when managing events and programs as an account is not needed to make a purchase.

Prior to registering into an Art Studio workshop or classes for the term, we encourage parents to: 

• visit the respective event page and read all the information relating to the event; and
• familiarise themselves with the City's Community Engagement Programs Cancellation Policy(PDF, 120KB) before proceeding to registration. 

Art Studio workshops and term program does not operate on public holidays as listed on the Government of Western Australia's website.
