Lots in the Southern River Business Park are now ready for new property owners to build their future success.
City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes said the sale of lots in the 21ha commercial and light industrial subdivision was the culmination of years of planning.
“The Southern River Business Park is the largest commercial project undertaken by the City of Gosnells and will benefit our community enormously,” she said.
“This business park will provide a strong economic boost and generate employment opportunities close to home for residents.
“Most exciting, however, is that it will produce significant profits that will directly fund local community infrastructure, supporting the rapidly growing local community well into the future.
“To release a commercial business park on this scale is very unusual for a local government.”
The subdivision includes 51 lots ranging from 1,211 m2 to 6,456 m2. Land buyers have indicated they are keen to commence construction as soon as possible.
The Southern River population, currently estimated at just over 17,000, is forecast to more than double by 2046, to almost 36,500.
“As the population of Southern River grows, so will the demand for commercial infrastructure, which makes the Southern River Business Park particularly important,” Mayor Lynes said.
In addition to the commercial and light industrial lots, Southern River Business Park features three large areas of public open space, which will act as a buffer for nearby wetlands and retain natural vegetation with a high environmental value.
