Celebrate Love to Read Local Month at your local library, and learn how to write from a WA author.
Join us at Amherst Village Library for a writing workshop taught by local published author, Heather Salter-Purves. Rebuilding the Monster is an interactive two-hour workshop for teens and adults (ages 16+) exploring the cultural power of monsters, deconstructing classic folklore, and helping participants build an entirely original creature with its own lore and story potential. No writing experience necessary — just imagination!

Bookings will open to the public from Saturday 1 August. Participants must meet the advertised age requirements.
