Join us for support in setting up your TFN, understanding your employment rights and leave the session feeling confident in your understanding of various employment documents and tax jargon.

Through interactive activities participants will be introduced to key concepts of salary, cash, PAYG and superannuation. Participants will learn what each concept means and how they interact, while picking up some basic employee rights and learning how to interpret a payslip

During the workshop, participants will work through organising their TFN and also learn basic fundamentals of tax like the tax-free threshold and actions required after each financial year end.

The group will brainstorm consideration factors for bank accounts and superannuation selection. Participants then end the session learning how to fill in a superannuation nomination form.

Please note all participants must bring along their own device (phone, tablet or laptop). Free public WiFi is available. Participants must also bring along suitable identification documents in order to set up their TFN.
