Get ready to get your skate on as the annual City of Gosnells Roll on Skate Park Series returns.

The Roll on Skate Park Series runs from October until March and features competitions, free clinics and park jams for young skateboard, scooter and BMX riders.

Mayor Terresa Lynes said the popular event showcases the City’s skate parks and attracts thousands of riders and spectators each year. “The Roll On Skate Park Series is very popular. It brings our young people together and is a great family-friendly event, with many parents watching from the sidelines,” she said.

“Everyone from beginners to more experienced riders can take part and it’s an excellent opportunity for our young people to get out and about, have fun, make new friends and develop new skills.”

The next event is a Beyond Skate clinic at Mills Park on Saturday 19 November, while the first skateboard, scooter and BMX competition will take place on Saturday 10 December at Thornlie Skate Park.

The clinics are open for ages five and over and equipment is provided so beginners can take part. Skate park jams are supervised and feature demonstrations, music, prizes and giveaways.

Registration is required for all clinics and competitions via the City’s website at gosnells.wa.gov.au.
