Pet owners in the City of Gosnells are reminded that annual pet registrations are due by Monday 31 October.
As required by State Government legislation, all dogs aged over three months must be registered and microchipped, and all cats aged over six months must be registered, sterilised and microchipped.
Pets can be registered in the City of Gosnells for life, three years or one year, with many residents choosing the life-time registration option rather than annual renewal, to save time and money.
Mayor Terresa Lynes said pet registration was an important part of responsible pet ownership.
“This is also a timely opportunity for pet owners to check that their details on file with the City, such as home address and contact numbers, are correct,” she said.
“Pets are an integral part of many families and in the event they go missing and are found by our Rangers, registration ensures they can be reunited with their owners quickly.”
New pet registrations and renewals can be completed online, by visiting the City’s website at gosnells.wa.gov.au.
