Beckenham residents are invited to spend time getting to know their neighbours while helping make their community safer, at the next Your Neighbourhood event on Thursday 15 September.

Between 3pm and 6pm at Appledore Street Reserve in Beckenham, local residents can enjoy free family activities and there is a free sausage sizzle for the first 250 visitors.

City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes said the Your Neighbourhood events brings together representatives from WA Police Force, Gosnells District Neighbourhood Watch, Constable Care Youth Foundation and the Gosnells Community Men’s Shed.

“This is the first of four Your Neighbourhood events planned for the 2022/23 financial year, giving residents access to information about crime prevention, personal safety, home security and vehicle security,” she said.

“Getting to know our neighbours and others in our community is perhaps the best way to improve safety in our neighbourhood, and these events are a great way for local people to meet each other.”

Residents who attend the event can also enter a free draw to win a video doorbell.

Parking is limited so residents are encouraged to walk or ride to the event.

This is a drug and alcohol free event.
